          I don't know how many people you know here, but fawning is pretty much par for the course in the blind community. Not sure what kind of project you did, but if you made a game then some people will fawn until the end of time. I have my theories for why but the primary one is how sheerly starved for choice this community is (or at least, has been, in the past). I get the annoyance. It generally goes away if you just completely ignore random requests for news. Post updates on your schedule if you like, or not at all. Also separate your making-friends identity from your programming identity, to a certain extent.

            Yeah I might have to in a professional sense, but I'm also not really fond of wanting to mask either for other people. I'm not doing that no more.

            Masking has gotten me into some really dangerous situations in the past.

              I don't think of it like masking. When you release a piece of software, you implicitly turn yourself into a provider of a thing. Separating your persona from your product is not masking--your products don't necessarily need to be tied to your person. I would argue that this is more like the opposite of masking.

                A provider of a product, but also an opportunity to connect with folks who really like the products. You can't really have one without the other especially as a small developer.

                If the last one don't apply, what good is releasing a product when one can just keep the product to themselves. Honestly, I enjoy making things for myself more than I ever did making things for others.

                  Honestly I can empathize with that. Sometimes I like making projects for myself as well, or otherwise just for close friends. I don't like what you're saying, around putting people in their place. It's a dangerous trap to fall into, for your own mental health I mean. No human is really designed to exist in a strict social hierarchy like that. If you want to have equals, then you gotat try and let go of the past, as shitty as it is. Try not to think of people as obstacles, even if they've hurt you; and if you don't want to interact with someone, it's okay to ignore them, you don't have to open yourself up to everyone. I would just say that I hate to see you wearing this kind of high-horse attitude, as I've worn it myself in the past. It didn't serve me well.

    totally understandable. I appreciate your honesty.

    I'm working and incorporating the ai tool back into my actual music somehow, so this is more or less a test run.

  I'm somewhat confused on what the actual issue is that they had with you. At one point there was a separate page here for AI stuff. They removed it.

  I don't really like most AI music tbh, but for some reason it goes crazy on masto so there must be a market for it. I think we need a category system here. Would solve a lot of problems.

    To be fair, I was trolling on some of the posts here. However, some I just had fun making because I enjoyed the process.

    Getting the mod mad on one of them was actually kind of funny in hindsight.
