This concert has been going since 1889 in my town. It is performed on an old steam whistle from what used to be the New York Wire Cloth Co. This marks Whistlemaster Don Ryan's 70th anniversary playing the concert, and he is assisted by two apprentices this year. It was recorded with a Zoom H1E affixed to a chair on my balcony.

This is quite long and likely very boring, and probably of interest to hardly anyone, but I'm posting it anyway cuz it took all fucking day to make it, and I had a cold. Most of my time was spent editing out coughing fits and revolting sniffing noises. I made it mainly for youtube as there's no info about the accessibility of this device. Thought I'd put it here too as I sometimes like listening to people talk about devices even though I know I'll never get one.

If anyone could help me identify the exact Yamaha model I have, please let me know.

Recently got a 9:1 balun, MF / HF up-converter, and wired it up to a big spool of speaker wire, and to my RTL SDR. Now I can actually receive stuff of interest! Here's some random chatter on 7217khz (within the 40 meter ham band).

I don't intend to make a habit of posting every single thing I hear, only the very interesting / odd stuff, but figured I'd post my first successful reception.

This setup is, to put it mildly, completely hacky and jury-rigged. Thaught I'd ordered a case with the up-converter, but apparently not, so it's currently in an adapted cardboard pillbox that I had to manually cut holes in for the ports, and the antenna is just strung through my shelves, over the curtain-rail, and into the cupboard. Also having some issues finding a clean power source for the up-converter, and dealing with interfearance from my laptop's internals as well (I need to get GQRX and the other radio software installed on a better shielded desktop computer), but it works well enough for now.

This is a file  that I found on sndup.net a while back when guessing ID's to find files. This file  sounds like it's un educational program, like something a teacher found for their students. In the beginning of the recording it sounds like AT&T Mike but more human like and not as robotic. Does anybody know what this could possibly be? it's fun to find out where some of these files came from. I found a lot of stuff similar to thi....is year and the past two years.

Dial up internet sound. I called and by using tones generator I forced into the data stream.

This is when I hijacked an Air1 station on 99.3 here in Columbus Ohio. I was playing a live DJ set from Jef Retro in Orlando playing breakbeat and trance music. I did this with my 0.5 watt FM transmitter back in April 2022. I did that because firstly and the main reason, fuck these stations, and second, it's funny lol. imagine some people driving by my house when people were listening to that shit, they wouldn't be happy about it XD. I don't have that transmitter because I bought a better 7Wat transmitter back in June. Enjoy this, or not, heheheheheheh.

This is based on a preset made by John Cordy for the Fractal audio modellers. What I love about stuff like this is it makes you play phrases that just wouldnt work with a classic rock type sound.

I gotta ask, what's the point of YouTube shorts if YouTube is extending videos to 3 minutes long? The idea of shorts is for short-formed content. If I wanted to watch something longer than 60 seconds, I'd go on normal YouTube. Also, when uploading content, videos that are below or at three minutes will be put in shorts, and you can't change that.

This is not professionally made or mixed in any way, just a heads up. I did soft clip it and adjusted some of the EQ, but otherwise consider it unmixed. It was made when I was really bored and had nothing better to do so figured why not. Hope it's still something at least.

Back in August of 2023, I recorded this audio file where I was talking to some friends on TeamTalk while testing out some random 3.5 MM aux mic I found somewhere. It's an absolutely fantastic piece of technology, as you can clearly hear from the astoundingly superior quality of this recording. This recording only has my voice in it, unfortunately. Not sure where the conference file went. Anyways, enjoy your brief trip to hell.

About 18.5 minutes of me trying to find a simple wooden platform. What we have right now is promising, and certainly cool to check out, but it's not quite there yet.

Hello everyone, I am back here to shamelessly plug my youtube channel once again! But this time, we're doing something a bit different. I'm going to create twelve short skits, under the youtube shorts cattigory. You know, the half baked ticktock thingy that has been added to youtube for a while. Anyway, for every day, I will upload a Christmas skit that is less than a minute in length to my youtube channel. I will also, every once in a while, be uploading old skits to audiopub. Here's what happens when you get high, forget what you were doing, then drink a little alcohol later in the mix. I thought I completed the tutorial, but appairently I didn't. Anyway college is over for the semester, and thought of bringing more stuff here. Expect some stuff in my youtube as well for Christmas.
