Many people pointed out that my microphone wasn’t the best. I never really paid too much attention, until I recorded a video myself and took a listen. It was terrible! I show a test of me speaking in front of each microphone, then wheeling my Spinny wheelie chair over to the other side of the room and saying a sentence there. You cannot hear me do this on the HP microphone, I can’t even capture that far lol. The yeti micro is a wonderful microphone for only about 90 bucks, And is small and compact and works right away with arch Linux.

YOU NEED TO TURN OFF THE SIGNAL INHANCEMENTS FOR THE HP MIC

All of this is under arch Linux. I’m not sure if signal enhancements exist on an HP mic, it’s built into a little WebCam thingy.

Yeah Yetis aren't bad. I have a knock-off that is half the price and it's mostly OK until it starts that right channel static, then I have to smack the shit of it until it quits.

Probably want to lower the gain on the mic, you start staticky when you have it at 100%

Do you use arch btw?
