love how that first thing goes from left to right and then everything falls over as if that glass thing is like hey, operation, cargo brakage.

It's been almost 5 years since the release of The Vale: Shadow of the Crown. let's revisit it for nostalgic purposes.

first rule of combat. Eat some food, get a chicken sandwhich and walk into that fight with your sword rased. Make sure you tell the enemy to chill out so you can eat your chicken sandwhich first and then you'll begin the fight.

Ah yes, starting out the stream with mechanical keyboard clickety clack, a blindie staple! Lol jk.
In all seriousness this game was really not as bad as much flack it got at the time. Like yeah guys we get it, bla bla bla something something realtime combat bla bla bla. I agree 100% in fact. But this wasn't fucking blind quest. Not even a blind legend. It had good voice acting for the most part, good music and sound design, average story, and a few (even if simplistic) mechanics. They had a goal in mind, and they met it. They weren't aiming to be this revolutionary game by any means if you look at their website. It was meant to be simple to play for everyone but give a good experience, they even collaborated with the CNIB to get some blind VA's on board (among other things) if I remember correctly.

Nice red switches lol but seriously the sound design and atmosphere of this game were pretty solid. I can't really blame them for the simplistic combat mechanics because the main point was the story and to be fair getting realtime accessible combat to work in a way that isn't simplistic topdown play disguised as first person like every bgt/nvgt shooter ever and isn't sensory overload is still something we've yet to see so yeah I can't really blame them. The acting and sound as well as the story were all very well executed so I can let a simplistic combat mechanic be forgiven. I was actually one of the beta testers that got access to the game a month or so before it was released to the public and got the game for free.
