besides, anyone who touched daily life when mahdi posted it on ag will recognize similarities right from when the game starts. One tip from me: Go learn about how something was made and where it came from before defending it, because your recording itself proves this is a clone and your comments defending it don't show any proof it is otherwise so yeah.

Ignorance is not always bliss. The "Just scroll on by" argument only works in certain circumstances. Like a difference in belief, be that political, religious, etc etc. This isn't that. Clones are largely disdained by most of the community, and they're often dangerous to the users, so why would we just ignore it and let it fester here and then someone downloads it, even if it's not linked to? I'm not sure what, if anything, I'm going to do about this, because yeah the audio on it's own is pretty harmless, but this sets a weird precedent we didn't prepare for. What do yall think?

Copyright really doesn't apply as this is a clone of a clone, and it's not like anyone in that chain of fuckery has the resources to pursue legal action, or even has a legal leg to stand on. The only person who would is Sam Tupy.
If for whatever reason, the plan is to amend the agreement, then I'd recommend making the necessary changes, emailing everyone about it, and laying out exactly what has changed.

I don't think that's really all that necessary. I think this is one of those cases where self-moderation is going to really play in this situation's favor. I'm not sure if enough blowback from the community will get this guy to quit posting. Honestly, cloning is one of those things I hate with my whole heart. Like, those who do it don't respect the hard work of developers, sound designers, music creators etc they stole from. Not gonna mention many of those are really shady, and there is still that habit of either excluding a folder with lots of stuff or turning defender off completely because it doesn't like bgt stuff. Things like that are terrible because someone who shares those might deliberately or not infect your computer with something nasty. I mean, everyone knows bgt stuff gets flagged, so it's not suspicious when it flags that brand new clone your friend shared with you, which could aswell have a real malware just because you would exclude it anyway. I'm not saying this particular one has a virus or anything like that, but history shows games from shady devs shutting down computers remotely just because someone hurt their ego or whatever, I'm not really interested about the details but things like that happened in the past. If you think more about it, it wouldn't be that hard to attach a cookies or passwords stealer to them which would quietly upload all of your passwords to some kind of database. Another thing is those clones often have paid items or ask for donations, and that's disrespecting people who they stole from on a whole new level. Copy rights are one thing, but morality and simply being fair towards hard working people who made stuff cloners steal is another thing. Thanks for reading my rant lol. I hope it explains better why I wrote my previous comment in the first place..

This is not true. Just because stw got shut down doesn't mean you can just go and steal sounds from it, because first: That doesn't give you any right to use them, and second: Most of them are from 3rd party libraries, not made by Sam himself, so if you don't buy those libraries you can't use those sounds.

However, other users saying, "I don't give a fucking flying fuck about your clone upload" or whatever that was, is not the best thing to do; rather, what you did here is, opening a space for debate with the users. I don't think banning these types of uploads is a good idea, but maybe defining specific rules for doing so. For example:

First. How in the darn flippity flippers has Sam any involvement. Dl is literally just some clone from some clone that comes from tk or so I've been told once. Stw's, source, has never been leaked. Neither did it's newer sounds, most were on the server anyway. I did hear the stw inventory sounds when I played such type of lp recording for 2 seconds or so but guess what, they are a thing in retspot, at least the folder that's been put onto bt sink or resilio or whatever you use.
And yeah. Audios of clones incurrage people who do listen to play them. Eventually they'll get a link and the cloner kid behind it is happy because he gets players for his mess. As we all know, blindy audio game standards are fairly low, so even if a clone is straight up shitty, people will play it.

Ok, just because a project is shut down, that does not mean everyone can instantly lap up whatever they want from it and say nom nom thank you this is all mine.
As was already Said, Sam purchased the libraries for that project, so how said libraries could be used was determined by whatever contract the library creater set.
So, here's what you need to do. Go research copyright law, and come back to us when you can make some more sense.
Oh btw, you may not be the dev, but it's apparent you have some sort of close connection with them otherwise you wouldn't be Brown nosing and defending this game. You do realize they publically admit that this game contains source code from other projects right?

I'll start by saying I know this is daily Life, Future Life, Ultimate Life, whatever it's called now life.
Waaaaaaaaaay too much going on. It should not take over 5 to 10 minutes just to go through a main menu! And customizing each, and every sound, is tedious. On top of that, how many sound libraries are used in this? It's not consistent. You have Windows, Android, Samsung, Survive the Wild, BK3, Manamon, Call of duty, Nintendo sounds from various collections, it's chaos!
It's an attempt at STW, and it is completely ridiculous, loud, and as far as I know, there's no way to turn off all of those level sounds. Ava is way too loud, you had beacons running, sending chat messages which I'm sure you already knew the answers for...
It's too much.
