Description:
Back in 2022 before we had generative AI, I decided to make a python script that would convert a text file into midi data. Using some basic music theory and rhythm rules, along with generating a frequency graph of occurrences of letters in the uploaded text, the generator then generated the MIDI data. All done in less than 300 lines of code. The midi soundfont used is called Tambres of Heaven. Here's a demo of one of my journal entries converted to music and in my opinion, the piano sounds pretty good. Of course, it's not an actual song you could sing to, but definitely interesting!

lol this sounds terrible, but it's amazing how many creative ways you can find to use your coding skills

I did something similar back in 2019. I made a script that generated a MIDI file, then I later imported it into FL Studio to assign instruments and do the final mix.
