I'm not sure how I feel about the mixing. Why the layering of cover and original? Your vocals are really good though , keep it up

Yeah. Originally, I just had the whole song in my Reaper project where I was recording, so I had reference and whatnot, and could line the vocals up. We didn't end up grabbing a stem for the instrumental, which is my bad.

Thanks, I definitely will be! Especially if people give me feedback. It's actually kind of good for the confidence, even if it's 'hey, don't do X Y or Z.' Did you have any other thoughts about the mixing?

Not really, honestly. Apart from the layering everything else was good. To be fare you're not the only one who's done it that way so that might have just been a me thing.
