I intended to do an acoustic fingerstyle version of this. Then I had the bright idea to create a backing track first. Once I got out the wah guitar, it all went down this slightly cheesy road instead. Drums are from the original track by the beatles.
An excerpt from a lecture on film-making by Gordy LaSure.
This is a couple of clips from the films Kes and Shaun of the Dead. Definitely seems like they overdubbed something odd in post production. Obviously I'm going off memory as to the video portion of these clips, but I'm fairly certain there's nothing in the video to explain these sounds.
I don't normally sing, but my therapist suggested I express myself more. She gave me the option of song or dance, so I chose the lesser of two evils.
well an attempt.
Trying to get an honest opinion on something and all I'm seeing are sales people. Even ordinary people who own the product all seem to have one eye on the possibility that a manufacturer might at some point in the future see their review and decide to send them some free crap as a reward. I just had to get this out of my system.
If you have clicked on this after listening to the previous 3 parts, you seriously need to ask yourself what you're doing with your life.
Part 3 is just for the masochists.
Second part of this christmas bore fest.
This is quite long and likely very boring, and probably of interest to hardly anyone, but I'm posting it anyway cuz it took all fucking day to make it, and I had a cold. Most of my time was spent editing out coughing fits and revolting sniffing noises. I made it mainly for youtube as there's no info about the accessibility of this device. Thought I'd put it here too as I sometimes like listening to people talk about devices even though I know I'll never get one.
This is based on a preset made by John Cordy for the Fractal audio modellers. What I love about stuff like this is it makes you play phrases that just wouldnt work with a classic rock type sound.
The eBow is a handheld device that causes the string its placed above to vibrate indefinitely when held near a pickup. A few bum notes and serious difficulty crossing strings, but having fun nonetheless.
Drums and vocals from original track by The Rezillos.
Drums and vocals are from original track by Sultans of Ping FC. Guitar and bass are from me with love xx.
The drums and vocals are from the original track by the Undertones. I did the guitars and bass. They're very similar to the original, so you may wonder why bother. I'm just learning stuff. Sorry if it's boring.
Stem split Chaise Longue by Wet Leg. Kept drum and vocal. Added me own bits and bobs over the top. Re added after first one had the same track twice for some reason lol.
Used a stem splitter on Kids in America. Kept the drums and vocals, and added new bass, guitars, and synths. I did the birdsong too. That's the best bit.
Will the wind ever remember the names it has blown in the past.
