Surge XT go pew pew pew
Probably the loudest demo I've ever made.
What is this even? Tearout?
that's what the actual filename was lol
A bunch of years ago I remixed the always here ringtone from old nokia phones into a weird rock version. Sorry about the terrible mix lmao.
Title says it all. Lmao
OK this is the second feature I was working on, and this might be a little bit buggy still so feel free to post bug reports in here or in the github issues of audiopub.
This is basically a TikTok/YouTube Shorts style interface to listen to audios. Click Quickfeed at the top. If you have a better idea for a name let me know.
Space to play. Up/down moves through audios. Left/right seeks. F favorites/undoes favorites, and C opens comments. In theory you're supposed to be able to send a comment from there as well, but it might not work very well, I'm still figuring that one out.
Also, simply scrolling the page will also switch audios. If you're using NVDA for example, if you press H to go through the headings, it should automatically fade. This is also how it should work on mobile, but mobile is only theoretical and I haven't tested that part at all yet. In theory you can also swipe left and right on mobile to seek.
This is a beta feature, so it's a work in progress, but I asked Byte Bender if we could test it on you and he agreed so hale!
Some bugs I already know:
Let me know how you like this one.
You can favorite audios now!
Favorites count will show with each audio.
Favorite an audio by pressing the button in the audios page.
You can also see all your favs in the favorites tab at the top.
Let's see if I broke something!
this is super old.
My fav thing about this is prob the vocal chops in the drop. qt!
remix of this thing. I remember hating it at the time but now I don't find it so bad anymore, which scares me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLrq_etGUkE
yeah.
no.
can't believe this is a couple years old now wtf?
.mid is just about right lmao.
the saturator worked overtime on this one.
just clip the entire master im telling you its fun!

found it! the first watery thing from a couple years ago.
we makin it outa area 52 with this one
meow
haha ur welcome
this is some nasty stuff
So I only had half of this thing lossless and the other half compressed so don't mind the weird audio quality. I can't get this project to open anymore which is a shame tbh. I'm not even sure why it won't open but all the tracks are messed up. Maybe because I made it in a logic version from ages ago.
This is all stock logic stuff if I remember right. I think this is almost 8 or 9 years old now. All the synths, effects, orchestra, etc. were all stock logic, except the cinematic drums in the Intro which I think was a kit called Drums Of War. But all the growls I made in stock logic plugins, I think mostly EFM2 and their 3 oscillator synth. Also yeah it was very unfinished and very old. I had no idea what I was doing with the mix back then. lmao. Also I can't for the life of me remember what movies the clips in the intro were from. I had way too much fun with the synths from like 01:40 ish. Would have loved to touch this up a bit but alas.
yeah idk found this while going through old projects
did I rip the melody from somewhere? Genuine question. Somehow it sounds familiar but I really dunno.
me too honestly.
I might finish the last two
just making some cute music ig
Surge is just screaming for help at this point
just square/pulse waves, sine waves, tons of effects and envelopes and automation and drums and aaaaa I love this. Also Ableton is awesome
This is less harsh than the last one I promise
Small laser sound, delay with length so short that it turns tonal, then a bunch of Izotope Trash. What's that sound like?
Another very early Ableton thing I made while learning. I found this really cool low-fi piano patch that sounded like someone sampling their living room piano with their laptop. Squeaking and hissing and background and everything. And that turned into this. Also using some midi transformation tools and automation and whatever. But all the instruments are stock Ableton. No third party stuff in here.
ironcross32 just uploaded an engine made with Surge XT which reminded me, I tried to code an engine sound from scratch using only the web audio API, no samples, just a bunch of oscillators and math. Ignore the soft clicks, those are the parts where my math was slightly inaccurate and I didn't bother fixing that yet. Maybe I'll turn it into a little toy for people to play with. There are a bunch of changeable parameters but this is it in its default configuration.
im a lil fox cub turning twirling
People were asking how to use Ableton Live with a screen reader so last night I recorded this very impromptu little audio demo. I just make a little loop and try to explain what I'm doing as I go as best I can. I'm also still learning so I might be doing some things inefficiently. Hopefully this gives people a little inspiration. Sorry if my speech rate is too fast, this was a very spontaneous thing. I wasn't sure whether I should post it, but I figure anything is better than nothing.
OK this is the last one. This is also Ableton. And all Surge. Also it's very loud. There's a bunch of very cursed things happening on this mix bus. But it bangs.
More Ableton stuff. Look at me double posting.
