Description:

Folk hath spoken. Noisy it is.
This is all Surge, except the parts which are very obviously samples. That would be the screaming, the lion roar, the jaguar. Everything else is surge if I remember right. The drums except the open hat in the beginning I believe, all of the basses, the glitches, etc. Surge is epic and if you do anything with audio you should have it. It's open source. You literally can't lose.
Anyway you know the deal. Pick the next one in the comments: Melodic or noisy?
btw its not always gonna be melodic or noisy but im gonna ease you in gently before we get wilder with our choices.

oo nice and crunchy base

Athlon

man I love the percussion!

Daniel Kisielewski

how do you make dubstep basses in surge? Wavetables?

JeffB

Dubstep isn't music it sounds like an MRI machine trying to rape a X-ray machine while a horny jackhammer cheers on the MRI machine while it jacks off. OUCH MY HEAD!

TheDude

This one is interesting. As said, an idea could be to upload the project file and such so people can continue on them and or learn from them. Just an idea though

Talon

@TheDude No promises. Some of them I can't get to work anymore, some of them I've lost. The last two I do have and I may end up posting them. You'll need Komplete, Disperser, all of the Kilohearts plugins, XFer things like dimension expander and OTT, Surge of course, some JS effects like Atlantis Verb, etc. So there are a lot of prerequisites, some of which are paid. So it's not like you can simply open the project file and expect it to work right away. That said though I might go through and clean them up and post them eventually. Most of them are very messy.

Sir Howard

I get the sudden urge to play a hard hitting brutal action game.

TheDude

@talon yeah, but technicly speaking, you could just replace those plugins with something else.

Talon

@Daniel Kisielewski lots of different ways but yeah, wavetables and automating the morph parameters. Generally just a lot of automating, waveshaping, and external effects. And distortion. A lot of distortion.

I love surge. Enough said.
